Tribute to my father ❤️

This was the necklace I designed in 2019 with the earrings. I also made necklaces for my three sisters.
We wore them when we took my father’s ashes back to Mexico where he wanted to be. 🥺❤️🇲🇽

The image I use was one of my favorites of him when he was very young and was drawing some projects working as a civil engineer in Mexico.

The doves 🕊️ around the frame symbolize his spirit, the Cempasuchil (Mexican Marigold ) flowers around his photo are the flowers we use during Day of the dead in the altars to guide the soul of our loved ones from the underworld to the world of the living with their smell and vibrant color, the angel on top is him, he is now protecting us and at the bottom I added his sugar skull with a crown and the four little hearts are representing my three sisters and me. The pearls represent our tears.

This was the first piece I made in 2019 in honor of my wonderful father. I was so sad and heartbroken and I needed to put all those feelings into this piece.

I created this sugar skull design when I lost my father in 2019. He was the king 🤴 of the house and he will always be the king in my heart.
I miss him everyday and the memories we had with him are always present.
