Thank you all for taking the time to look at my crafts page.
Haven't posted much because there is not a lot happening in the crafting part of my life.
You may recall that for the past 21 yrs I have lived in Northern California My years were filled with craft shows , 2-3 farmers markets a week in Summer , wholesale and retail mail.order sales... and retail spaces in different craft/ antique collectives.
In 2014 my husband was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease. Over the next 6 yrs he required round the clock care here at home. He passed away on October 22, 2020. The last 15 months of his life were spent in a memory care facility. His body and his brain failed him completely. He needed to have nearly everything done for him. It was excruciating to watch . Such a brilliant and loving man. He was a minister and Hospice chaplain. I've always said" He's not perfect but he IS perfect for me!"
After much thought and soul searching I decided to move back to my home state of Rhode Island. What is left of my family ( only brother and 3 nephews) is there. I have been very lucky to have maintained close friendships with grammar and high school friends. Everything is familiar ... I grew up there and I need to be there again. I bought a house in RI and sold ours here in Ca . Moving van comes on June 13/14 .I will fly to RI on the 17thwith Byrons cat Oin. Byron will be making a vacation of driving my car across country...he's always wanted to do this so what better time than now? He will stay with me in RI to help me get settled in. In the new year he will.move back to Canada to start/ resume his life there.
No doubt I will find new outlets for my knitting and crafts in RI. . I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life...will keep you posted.
