DSAA not only wants to help dogs and cats in our shelter system, but all animals that pass through shelter doors.

Did you know that 80% of all rabbits purchased as Easter gifts will either die or end up in the shelter system within the year? Rabbits live an average of 12 years and can get in just as much trouble as a puppy or kitten. They p**p, chew wires, need routine vet and dental care and need proper housing and socialization.

If you cannot make the 12+ year commitment, get your kids a stuffed bunny or chocolate rabbit for Easter this year.
