Holly Spagnola Design My passion for horses inspires me to create jewelry with an equestrian flare. Specializing in jewelry and custom show tack.

I also love to create custom designed show tack to make you stand out in the show ring. Hand designed, made, and engraved giving each piece it's unique quality for the client. My pieces are designed and created by hand using the art of cloisonné enamel and hand engraving. Each piece is creating a personal work of art for my clients to cherish for generations.

I have been having a lot of fun with AI lately bring my designs to life. And now that I have a slight addiction to using AI, I would love all your feedback deciding what to develope next. I just have so many ideas I want to make.

This is a necklace that has been in my thoughts for a couple years and with a little AI prompting, I'm able to see it in 'reality'. Turquoise and zircon set in 18k gold with horsehair. I think it would make an outstanding collar necklace!

AI doesn’t come up with the concepts. The artist creates the design, so how does AI help a designer?

there is a big controversy about how AI will take the place of an artist and I disagree. It all starts in the creative‘s mind, a vision of what they want to create. AI allows me to give more dimension and helps bring to life the design. I get to play with materials and tweak proportions. I can also give a preview to my clients about what I’m envisioning in my mind.

It’s also a lot of fun to take my drawings from a sketch and add a prompt to AI and see it develop into gold and gemstones without the expense of trial and error. I get to share more of my great ideas with you.

These are the projects I love to make! This is so much fun! My client asked to recreate this dinosaur from a reference photo and I think it roars🦖!
I’m not always making horses and I love projects outside of the box. If you need something custom made for the holidays, now is the time to contact me to ensure you receive it in time. Custom orders normally take 4-6 weeks but as I get more busy during the holiday, it is alway best to allow for a little more time.

Just missing the popcorn🍿for this circus horse! This has been fun making such a colorful collection with glass enamel. It is one of my favorite element to work with as it form a gemstone of glass. I love how the gold foil pops off the sparking turquoise.

The next part of the process is the setting of the pendant, earring and bracelet and sending them off to Equine Instincts | Fine Art Gallery For Equestrian Lifestyle in time for the holiday season of shopping. These are one of a kind pieces of wearable artwork.

I’m so sad I ran out of stones☹️💎I’m hunting for 8, 1.5mm cz to wrap up the stone setting so I can finish the polish on this new design.

This is the point where you work out all the kinks making a new piece in the collection and the best time for play and experimenting. It is so important to make the sample. I really am inspired by using horsehair not just in a braid, but really picking out all the colors to create a mosaic. I foresee a sampling of patterns but the radiating horse hair reminds me of an iris👁️ or eye lashes.

For the time, I’ll have to put this on hold and work on the idea bubbling up in my head. It’s play time!

Lately I’ve been playing with horse hair to see how many ways I could use it in jewelry. A circle is such a simple shape but with an infinite range of design. I envision the possibility’s of the radiating hair over 24k gold foil or surrounding a center stone. Ombré of natural and dyed color.

🎠🎪The series of circus horses is coming together! A work in progress and trying to decide on the background behind the horse as turquoise or big tent enamel with gold and turquoise enamel. This is such a fun piece to introduce more color. Gold and turquoise is one of my favorite combinations and really elevates the piece. The sparkly quality of the gold plated druzy agate crystal looks amazing!
