🦋 A Farewell to Our 2026 Intern, Kayla!

As we get ready for our final Core Market of the 2026 season, we have a bittersweet goodbye to make. This Sunday, October 4 will be Kayla’s final market with us as our 2026 intern.

Back in April, Kayla joined us as our videographer intern, and she has been such a wonderful part of the Greer Farmers Market team ever since. If you’ve been following our social media this season, you’ve probably seen plenty of her work! Her videos and reels have been some of our favorites to share, and we’ve loved seeing how she captures the little moments that make our market so special.

From our vendors and shoppers to special events, kids’ activities, and all the little Sunday morning moments in between, Kayla has done an amazing job showing what makes Greer Farmers Market so great. We’re so grateful for all the creativity and time she has put into helping us tell the story of our market this season.

And if you’ve gotten to know Kayla this year, you may also know that she has her own creative business, Creations by Kayla D! 🦋

Kayla started her business at just 14 years old and is now celebrating six years of creating! She makes handmade earrings, coasters, necklaces, keychains and more — and if you’ve ever seen the beautiful earrings she wears at the market, she made those herself! Her love of butterflies has always been a big part of her brand, which you can see throughout her Creations by Kayla D branding.

Although her internship with us is coming to an end, Kayla is definitely not done creating. She has upcoming markets around the Greenville-Spartanburg area, and you can keep up with where she’ll be next through her social media and website.

We are genuinely so sad to see Kayla’s internship come to an end, but we’re also so happy that we got the chance to have her on our team this year. She has been a phenomenal intern, and we’ve loved getting to know her, watch her grow, and see her creativity become part of the Greer Farmers Market story.

✨ 6 YEARS OF CREATIONS BY KAYLA D! ✨
Six years ago, I took a little idea and turned it into something I could proudly call my own. 🥹💗 And somehow, six years later, I’m still here!
I know I haven’t been as active on my business pages lately, but that doesn’t mean things have stopped behind the scenes! If anything, this past year has brought me so many unexpected blessings, opportunities, and new experiences. 🦋
From stepping into a full-time job promotion, to continuing to grow through my videography internship, to planning out my upcoming market schedule—I’ve been learning, growing, working, and building in ways I’m incredibly grateful for. ✨
Sometimes growth doesn’t always happen where everyone can see it. Sometimes it happens quietly, behind the scenes, while you’re figuring things out and preparing for what’s next. 💕

🚨 NEW FIXTURE ALERT!!! 🚨
One thing about us... if I see potential in a thrifted piece, we are bringing it home. 😂✨

We’ve been working behind the scenes on a brand-new fixture for my market booth, and I’m so excited to finally share a little sneak peek!! 🛠️💛

A huge shoutout to the amazing lady at Home Depot for cutting the wood and helping us figure out exactly what we needed. And the BIGGEST shoutout to my mom for helping me build this fixture from the ground up. Seriously, I couldn’t have done it without her! 🥹🫶

Now I can’t wait to get it set up at my next market and fill it with all of my handmade jewelry, coasters, and more!✨
