I have some news to share! I haven’t been an art teacher since 2013 - but I accepted a part-time position as an elementary art teacher again! The best of both worlds - I’ll have studio days and classroom days. I’m excited for this adventure and honestly feel like I owe it in part to gardening giving me the courage to get back out there. I can’t believe this is something I learned how to do last year and it’s as lovely as it is. I lost my confidence somewhere along the way over the years and this has been an extremely satisfying endeavor that helped me believe in myself and a reminder that we can do hard things, stretch ourselves and grow. This backyard garden is a JOY. This was a month ago, but we still have happy flowers and veggies. I’m always grateful for the rain though, because it is HOT. The last pic is what inspired the clover pink in the Floret Collection! So that’s my news - counting my blessings while living my best life in the garden and starting a new adventure in the art classroom again part-time. Eeep!

ASMR enameling. Watch me load this trivet with sifted enamel shapes. Fired in the kiln. Rinse and repeat.

Every bit of it is handmade. A peek in the studio process. If you love supporting artists and things that are handmade - I’m your gal. I’ve done this for 12 years now…and my business has seen all sorts of change.

I started on Etsy in 2012. I made rings mostly. Stamped jewelry. Soda City Market in Columbia, SC because we lived there. Dabbled in enamel and lots of random things.
2013: entered the chat.

Our daughter was born in 2014, so I loved having a home studio and grew my business presence online.

2017/2018 : Peak Instagram growth, found my style, went on podcasts, got featured in a few magazines/books.

2019: Wholesaled with in a collab with and bought land and built a house (squeals for a new studio!).

2020: What a wild year- we know this. I paused a little bit of my progression due to the move, but I got back in the groove and switched to Shopify because I was sending all my traffic to my shop anyway! That was fun!

2021: Added rust enamel color to my work and made a beautiful minimalist collection.

2022/2023: My life became a dumpster fire of everything awful and my dad passed away after being diagnosed with terminal esophageal cancer.

2024/2025: Macy turns 10. Everything online feels different. I’ve added new enamel colors and continue to be inspired by other styles and love what I’m making. But gosh, it’s just different. Reach and sales are just aren’t the same. And I turn 40 in January. Am I at a crossroads? To be determined.

But I know one thing - everything I do - I do with my whole heart. I care about what I make and how I make it. I love helping people and I love making beautiful things.

Swipe 👉🏼 to see the ‘BEFORE’ studio. Pure chaos insued in organizing this place from the floor up. But now it’s the loveliest it’s ever been! So much workspace now! Dare I say - for a private class with a group of friends? Something I may explore in the new year. 🥰
