Every bit of it is handmade. A peek in the studio process. If you love supporting artists and things that are handmade - I’m your gal. I’ve done this for 12 years now…and my business has seen all sorts of change.

I started on Etsy in 2012. I made rings mostly. Stamped jewelry. Soda City Market in Columbia, SC because we lived there. Dabbled in enamel and lots of random things.
2013: entered the chat.

Our daughter was born in 2014, so I loved having a home studio and grew my business presence online.

2017/2018 : Peak Instagram growth, found my style, went on podcasts, got featured in a few magazines/books.

2019: Wholesaled with in a collab with and bought land and built a house (squeals for a new studio!).

2020: What a wild year- we know this. I paused a little bit of my progression due to the move, but I got back in the groove and switched to Shopify because I was sending all my traffic to my shop anyway! That was fun!

2021: Added rust enamel color to my work and made a beautiful minimalist collection.

2022/2023: My life became a dumpster fire of everything awful and my dad passed away after being diagnosed with terminal esophageal cancer.

2024/2025: Macy turns 10. Everything online feels different. I’ve added new enamel colors and continue to be inspired by other styles and love what I’m making. But gosh, it’s just different. Reach and sales are just aren’t the same. And I turn 40 in January. Am I at a crossroads? To be determined.

But I know one thing - everything I do - I do with my whole heart. I care about what I make and how I make it. I love helping people and I love making beautiful things.

Swipe 👉🏼 to see the ‘BEFORE’ studio. Pure chaos insued in organizing this place from the floor up. But now it’s the loveliest it’s ever been! So much workspace now! Dare I say - for a private class with a group of friends? Something I may explore in the new year. 🥰

The kiln was cranked the other day and I made tons of beauties for a shop in Montana. Spring is about to fully inspire me. Does it inspire you?!🌸

So much gratitude this season. Last year, when I created the Winding Road collection - it was symbolizing our life’s journey of ups and downs. We all experience them - and with them, come deep valleys and healing mountaintops. Whatever season you are in - remember, life is an ebb and flow. These experiences change us, stretch us, grow us, but we do come out the other side - I pray you have love around you in the valleys and love around you on the mountaintops.

•my online shop is still open and fulfilling orders this week with free shipping•thank you all for your support always•with gratitude & love - Melissa ✨

January Jewelry is at it again for the holidays! Tinkering away in the studio has felt lighter and joyful this year. For that - I am very grateful! Some bold and lovely new colors and pieces will grace the shop tonight at 8PM|est! Woohoo! I had a super productive morning taking some images with a perfect overcast day (perfect for photos that is). Then I had a leg radio frequency ablation for venous insufficiency (it was a doozy 🫠) - & now it’s great time to work on listings for tonight with a propped up leg.

I’m delighted to be able to share some new beauties right before the holidays! Swipe for the sneak peeks! They’ll ship this week and be packaged with a bow ready to gift to someone you love.

You all are great - thanks for shopping with artists abs makers and buying handmade. 🥰✨

Shop ‘small’ this holiday season...

I’m not sure if you are tired of the phrase ‘shop small’....we certainly hear it enough that it might be annoyingly cliche. BUT - if you actually think about what it truly means...it’s a wonderful movement to be a part of. I love buying something that had someone’s creativity and heart and hand to it. Buying from local artisans and maker’s is not only a special blessing to the person receiving the gift...but also to the small business owner! Maybe it’s just homemade jam, or a simple soap. There is just something different about a unique product verses mass produced. I’m not against going to a traditional store...but I’m thoughtful in supporting people who own business’s out of passion and talent and I try my best to go to them first! It’s amazing what beauty this world has to offer from an artist and maker. I am so grateful to share my gift to you...
