This is a lovely little print. She always chooses light toned frames and mats when framing her art, so peaceful and clean. There are other ways we could have gone, brought out the depth with the black for example, but that’s what custom framing means, you get what you want with many options to choose from. I have included the artist’s card in the comments if you’d like to see more of their work.

This beautiful hardanger was stitched by a member of our Embroiders Guild of America, after her passing it was given to the guild to be put in the silent auction at our bi-annual show. The woman who won the bidding was so happy and wanted to preserve this exceptional work. It’s a large piece so we kept the framing subtle with a single fabric mat below, museum glass and narrow carved frame. I stitched the art to the mat fully around the perimeter, allowing for future removal if desired.

This is from many years ago, but I wanted to share again. My customer traveled all over the world and always brought back art as a memory of her adventures. We framed this pair in a rich fabric mat and a frame that matched the aged look of the art. She has moved away and I miss hearing about all her travels.

This young woman was in Australia on New Year’s Eve and saw the fireworks in person! She bought this small print as a memory of that night. We kept it simple but chose a shimmery frame to mimic the sparkle of the fireworks. This will be a forever memory.

Many of you are stitchers so I’d like to share this with you. I’m a member of our local Embroiderer’s Guild of America and we do an exhibit every other year. Please come and enjoy all there is to see and experience this year on March 19-21. In addition to our stitching displays, there will be raffle baskets, silent auction, boutique items, stitchers ‘rummage’ sale, guest vendors, two community groups giving demos, in addition to floral exhibits too.

This is a special one. She wanted to do something with her Mom’s wedding veil for herself and her sisters, but didn’t know what to do. She had the idea of cutting sections of the lace that included a heart, which is what I did. I also took tiny beads from the headpiece and added a few around the lace. She chose this wide patterned frame, which I think is great choice to enhance the small lace that is only
2 1/2” square. She and her sisters will cherish this and hopefully pass it onto their children.
