Golden Hills Turquoise earrings, in blackened sterling silver with 14k gold accents. Also referred to as lavender turquoise for its unique coloration, this stone is mined in Kazakhstan and the mines are only accessible 2 months during the year due to flooding and freezing terrain. I brought back a few pairs of this from Tucson this year but this pair is my favorite ❤️

My absolute favorite turquoise is green. Whenever I find nice pieces I sn**ch them up. And although turquoise set in silver is classic, turquoise set in gold is the best pairing IMO. These are a slightly mismatched pair of green turquoise highlighted by pink tourmaline drops.

When I started making jewelry I fully admit to being a “shiny object” stone buyer. Little to no regard for size of the stone, overall profile or even what I might make with it. So I have a small hoard of stones and up till this week no use for them. But the idea of hat pins/scarf pins have been floating around in my head. So I made some prototypes to try it out. Planning to take these to the Aspasian’s Fall Market on Oct 26.

I am loving these beaded necklaces with gemstone pendants! The turquoise and ruby I posted yesterday with a sister piece I completed this morning. 3mm faceted black hematite beads with a stunning oval Ethiopian opal set in 14k gold fill and sterling silver. I always cringe when I have to take photos of opals because they are notoriously shy when the camera comes out. But this one is a born showgirl! Loud and bright in any angle and lighting conditions. Both pieces coming to my website later tonight.
