The name of Jesus lifted high. No other name like the name of Jesus. No other name can bring healing. No other name can deliver and save. I want to immolate the peculiar people God has CHOSEN me to be. Not the norm, the everyday, the same ole thing...I want to be set aside, delightfully different, something bigger than the 9-5 life the world expects to see. I refuse to participate, but demand to communicate the radical life that lives in me!!! Jesus Shine Through Me!

When I was a little girl my Daddy would always know much sooner than the meteorologist when a bad storm was coming our way. Instead of alarming me and my little sister it became somewhat of a “fun time” instead. We had what was called a potato bin in our basement that was always cleaned out and stored with goodies for such a time as these. Blankets, flashlight, radio and of course Mom’s canned foods would be close by. Dad would say, “Girls, get your coloring books and puzzles and go get under the potato bin.” To us we were never scared because our Father made preparations ahead of time to take care of us in the midst of the storm. I don’t know one single person who is not feeling the winds and hearing the thundering of the storm, but know My Daddy has prepared ahead of time a place for us in the midst of the storms we are experiencing at every hand. I’m sitting here even now in a hospital waiting room with a few tears coarsing down my cheeks because I’m tired of storms but so grateful for a Father who STILLS the STORM only HE CAN SEE...

There can be no fulfillment where there is no passion. The passion that will cause you to achieve must be strong enough to make you uncomfortable. Simply stated, you must want something--a ministry, a mended relationship, an idea or vision to evolve--badly enough to survive the process required to attain it. My mom used to speak these words to me, "Anything worth having is worth fighting for." There will always be hinderances to overcome. But the force of your personal passion will provide the power to break through anything that stands between you and the object of your passion.
