My Dad said you have to stick around for the good stuff! Referring to marriage. Which infers there is plenty of “hard stuff” to get through before we get to enjoy the “good stuff”. Laughter, life, family, someone beside you through sickness and in health!

Your team doesn't have a performance problem.
They have a leadership problem.
Before you write someone up, put them on a PIP, or decide they're just "not a good fit" — ask yourself:
Have they been given a clear standard?
Do they know you actually see them?
Have you told them what good looks like?
Most performance issues aren't about the employee at all.
They're a mirror pointing straight at the leader.
The good news? Leadership is a skill.
Skills can be developed.
That's exactly what I do.

For 30 years, as a hairdresser, my clients and I walked together through some of life’s hardest and most meaningful moments—divorce, the loss of a spouse, business struggles, the heartbreak of losing a child, weddings, remarriage, new opportunities and illness.

Not just sharing stories, but sitting together in it.

This experience taught me something important: everyone is facing something.
