Amazing petried wood, I should take some close ups of the bark-like areas. This was a rock absorbed from an older rockhound. ❤️RIP❤️ *"Old Rockhounds dont die, they petrify."*

That is to say, Im not sure where it came from. South- SouthEastern Oregon would be a good guess.

I took a couple slices off this crusty agate nodule. They are pretty funny. I was hoping for eyeball effect but instead got a b***y. 😂 Anyhow I also think the formation itself is really cool so I think Ill stop there and let it be a cool specimen. Ar least for now.

The weird squishy clear tape I stacked up to provide cushion on the side missing the foam.

Now, I have a 4inch Lortone trim saw (BabyBeast) and an 18 inch standing saw (BigBeast) but my 10 inch water from HiTech probably gets the most play. Its so accessible in price-point , size, portability and ease. As long as you dont forget to drain the water and today your blade. 😬😁
With the clean up for installation of the new top and slab fence and the upgraded stainless steel top itself: she's looking fine. 😍😆 Thanks to Currently Rockhounding. Gotta love after market parts!

Some gorgeous moss right there! A bit of lovely teal jasper found in the Collawash area, a crusty nodule of agate from around the Ochocos and some icy chalcedony from the Dexter, Oregon area.

Its been raining which cleans up the rocks nicely and I had to set a few aside. I cut the crusty guy and the chalcedony.

an ! Thanks Chris (Christopher Lpf Anderson) for the recommendation. I love these new stainless upgrades from Currently Rockhounding to my 10 inch hitech.

The top looks gorgeous and gives the plastic top a nice rigidity it didn't have before. Much more sturdy, much better for uniform slabs: especially when paired with the slab assistant. I had a slab fence on there
but it was so large and heavy it seemed to pull the lid to one side.

The slab assistant is efficient in size and purpose. Two easily adjusted screws and I can customize the fit. This is really nice for the awkward sizes and angles of rough stones.

Installation is easy, as they have videos showing the process on their website.
