Grasshoppers had a great time at Region J bowling today. They won gold and are moving onto southern sectionals on Oct. 21st. I shouldn't tell you we are bowling challenged this year and were in our own division. Lol. But, they had fun!

Spring Games today at SIUE. Tony N won a silver in the 400M walk, and a gold in the 800M walk. Erlin, competed in her first ever Special Olympics event, won silver in the 100m run and gold in the 200m run. They were both awesome! They are headed to State Games in June. Watch out Bloomington, the Grasshoppers have Bocce Ball and Athletics headed your way! Great fun as always!!

Tim and Dawn competed in our Regional bowling competition today. They rocked! Both received silver medals. Dawn bowled a 178 game! They did the grasshoppers proud as always! Kudos to athletes Jim and Charles...they volunteered. Charles worked awards. Jim worked volunteer registration and did a fantastic job singing the national anthem! High fives to Tim and Sherry. It was their first time being coaches on their own! Great day all around!!

Hello family and friends! It is that time of year for our Grasshoppers to take the freezing cold plunge into Carlyle Lake! We have 8 athletes willing to brave the elements to plunge. Each athlete needs to raise $75 in order to plunge. We are looking for donations to help each of them run into that freezing cold water. Please open your hearts and wallets to help the Grasshoppers achieve their goal of all 8 athletes being able to plunge. Leave a message and Coach Stace will give you the details on how to donate to our most awesome team. And yes, Coach Stace is plunging too!
