It was a glorious birthday weekend! Thank you to those who came out to the Legion to see Side-Eye Funk (along with a Bama win, beautiful Mobile Bay sunset, almost-full moon rise, and a shooting star!!)

I was able to get down to the Gulf on Sunday and put my toes in the white sand and waves. My soul needed it all so much! Here’s to 51!

I’ve been a mixed bag of emotions the last several days: so very thankful that the impact of the storm was mild here while also quite concerned for those who did get the brunt of it. My thoughts and prayers are with those to the East of us.

With all that on my mind, I’ve just tried to stay busy. Yesterday, that busy-ness included picking up this new-to-me dresser and finally moving my altered “apothecary” cabinet into my office. So far, I’ve started stocking the dresser drawers and am looking forward to filling up all those little ones too.

In our prepping for Hurricane 🌀 Isaias, I completely forgot that a new video was going up. But, I did make some fun finds out in the yard as we covered the pool and put up outside furniture.

Here’s a frog that seems to be hunkering down for the storm.



This blue-green mushroom was toppled over in the grass after someone had been munching on it.

Also in the grass was this paper wasp nest that I couldn’t resist scooping up for my own collection.
