These rings are from the Hungarian aristocrat, Esterházy's collection, from Fraknó Castle (now Austria), end of the 16th century. The pointed diamonds were used for engagement purposes; they are similar to the symbols of the Medici family. These rings are called "Mátyás" (aka Matthias) rings.
