Today is the final day to purchase raffle tickets supporting Breast & GYN Health Project — an incredible local nonprofit that provides support, guidance, and resources to folks in our community as they navigate cancer.

This cause is especially meaningful to our family. We’ve seen firsthand how valuable the support from this organization can be through close family members’ breast cancer journeys, and we know the impact they make goes far beyond treatment. They help people feel supported, informed, and not alone during some of life’s hardest moments.

As a local family business, we believe supporting causes that strengthen our community matters. We’re honored to play a small part in helping organizations like Breast & GYN Health Project continue the work they do for local women and families.

We're excited to be part of something special in our community tonight! We had the opportunity to loan a historic (with local roots) roulette wheel and 2 vintage slot machines from our shop to help bring a little extra fun and history to the museum's fundraiser tonight. We can't wait to see it all come together!

Events like this are what make our community so great. If you're looking for something fun to do tonight, come out, support the Clarke Historical Museum, and enjoy what we know will be a great evening. We'll be there - hope to see you too!

At Humboldt Gold Exchange, we took action to support families affected by EBT/SNAP delays during the shutdown by providing free meal bags—and to donating any remaining items and funds to local children in need. We wanted to give you an update.

Thanks to our friends at Body Tuners and the generosity of our community, we distributed 302 meal bags and raised $287 for additional supplies. As promised, all remaining food and funds were donated this morning to a group who truly serves children in need, CASA of Humboldt. This donation from our community was not only appreciated but needed right now. CASA recently found out the funding utilized to help provide food for the children they work with was greatly reduced.

In total, we delivered all remaining food items from the meal bags, a $287 check from generous community members, and over $200 worth of individually sealed food items purchased this morning by my husband and I to help reduce some of the stress from this funding reduction.

To our customers and community, thank you. Your support made a real difference.

Humboldt Gold Exchange is hiring for a full-time sales associate position (part-time could be an option for the right person). Please bring your resume to the store at 1631 4th St in Eureka to speak with Keith more about the position

General Responsibilities:
• Exceptional customer service is a must. Greeting and assisting customers with professionalism and warmth
• Be familiar with and/or willing to learn different types of precious metals, including but not limited to variations of gold, silver, platinum
• Be familiar with and/or willing to learn different types of jewelry, including but not limited to variations in modern, antique, costume, precious metals and stones
• Help maintain inventory and merchandising
• Basic understanding of the POS to maintain accurate transaction records
• List inventory on platforms such as Etsy, Instagram, and eBay
• Keep merchandise straightened, clean and organized
• Knowledge and experience with fi****ms, ammunition, and gun safety is a plus.

Qualifications
• Basic math and computer skills
• Able to read, write, and speak English clearly (bilingual is a plus)
• Friendly, energetic, and dependable personality
• Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older (based off California State Law regarding gun sales)
• Must be able to pass legally required background check and fingerprint scan done by Eureka Police Department (COE is lawfully required)
