Join me for a one day irregular bezel setting intensive this July! Experience is great, but not necessary. To learn more and sign up, visit website linked in their bio.

So you want to set odd shaped cabochons? In this class you will learn to hand
fabricate a custom sterling silver bezel setting for stones with varied shapes and heights.
Through this experience you will use skills such as sawing, filing, soldering, bezel setting,
finishing, and various polishing or surface texture options. Experience is great, but not necessary.
This is a skills based workshop, but you will leave with a finished pendant.

I haven’t shared much about my love of vitreous enamels on here, but I’ve been studying and experimenting with enamels since college. I’ve consistently subscribed to several master enamelists online as well as learned from some of them in person. For a while, life kept getting really life-y as I would start getting really into it. I finally got a nice kiln just before hurricane Helene, to be derailed again with no access to any of my equipment while I was in Kentucky for nearly a year and a half. All that to say, I’m really excited to jump back in and see where this goes, finally! 😌

Seeing myself in earrings, it’s hard to believe that I had stretched earlobes for so long. It’s so nice to get to enjoy wearing dainty little earrings again. You wouldn’t even know the transformation unless you know what you’re looking for.

Anyway, I really enjoyed trying on these diamond earrings. So much so that it was a struggle not to keep them!

I just 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 this material! For me, the colors and translucency are just so ethereal, earthy and grounding. 🤎

I really enjoy learning more about the materials I use as I work with them. I knew Montana Agate is mined in Montana which was a huge appeal to me, but I was awestruck to learn that much of it is collected along the Yellowstone River. You can find it elsewhere, but it’s for the most part easier to find there because the ice melts unearth it and push it down the mountains where it gets washed up on shore. On top of that, other treasures are unearthed and discovered alongside them; dino bones, indigenous and prehistoric artifacts. The agate itself is a type of Chalcedony (much like moss agate) and is between 60 million years old; formed from volcanic eruptions that filled the Yellowstone region with silica rich ash. Just blows my mind.
