Apparently, the goldsmith lifestyle has a few hidden costs… 😭

I’m sitting at my jewelry bench and open a chiropractor bill. I look down at the bill and immediately react to how expensive it is. My facial expression changes as I process the amount. I pause, then realize that this might just be one of the hidden costs of being a goldsmith. The humor comes from my reaction and the realization that years of working at a jewelry bench can apparently come with a price.

Excuse me… I need to put some jewelry on. 💎😌

Jewelry Tip of the Month

Why do lotion and perfume affect jewelry?

What do I mean by that? I’ll tell you why.

Lotion and perfume contain chemicals that can damage gemstones such as opals and emeralds. These gemstones can absorb the chemicals, which may cause them to deteriorate over time.
