From mine to finished piece of jewelry! Starting on a very hot day at the incredible Oregon Sunstone mine, Sun Summit Mine, collecting gems. Picked out a Sunstone that had a lot of schiller and red in it, (shiller is caused by micro copper platelets that give some Sunstones a special coppery shine).
Faceting the stone to perfection and to bring out its inner brilliance.
Finally setting the stone in a silver sun setting.
Now the journey has almost come to its end for this Oregon Sunstone gem, once encased in lava for 14 million years, dug out by the experts at Sun Summit Mine, crushed out of the lava, found by us going through the ore and hand crafted, ready for somebody to receive that special piece of jewelry.
