Destination Reroute

Destination Reroute To inspire adventure... Through exploring and experiences, adventuring and adversity, you learn things about yourself. This is the Destination Reroute.

You stumble upon life’s gems, only to reveal what you still must discover. These teach you to accept the current circumstances and adapt to overcome them. Through this process, whether in a day hike, an overnight bikepacking ride or a week-long excursion in the mountainous backcountry, perspective is developed and understanding is created. You learn that where you thought you wanted to go was not

where you should go. You learn that changed plans don’t mean an altered purpose, though perhaps your purpose evolves too. You discover how your weaknesses can compliment your strengths. That the pattern of life is ever changing and never stagnant. And how one shouldn’t be afraid of what is ahead, but rather press on anticipating the intersections of trail we call “life”. This is the product of travel and adventure.

This is a great introductory bikepacking overnighter to learn, test out new gear and shake out your loaded bike on a low-stakes route and trip. It's also just a great chill, low-expectations overnighter! **All are welcome.**

Curious about bikepacking but don't have "all the stuff"? You are welcome to meet us out at Treasure Lake (walk or ride in only) and still camp, gather and learn!

**Spare bags & gear are available upon request** prior to 6 PM Saturday. Please contact aaron@destinationreroute with questions, assistance or to meet prior to the campout

Some pretty intense storms with monsoon-style rains, wind, lightning & hail kinda came out of nowhere (mostly) yesterday.

We waited until the last minute and made a game change to ride further north of Teton County in pursuit of drier weather and roads...

And look what we found! A 20-mile ride on Hog Hollow Road without any incident — some really lovely, dry dirt & gravel! And we got out of there justin time before storms encroached on our location!

Tuesday Community Night Rides occur weekly, but change location to accommodate for things like this!

Reach out in the DMs for questions, suggestions, offering help or to join the WhatsApp group for future rides & happenings!

Mid-week adventure rides 🔥❄️👀

⏰ Every Tuesday, rolling @ 7 pm for some backyard shenanigans.

We keep it fun, chill and mix it up – There's something for everyone!

Last night we rolled from Sherman Park in Victor out Old Jackson Highway and up the Centennial Trail to Trail Creek Campground.

From the paved path, Happy Hour looked questionable, but we were pleasantly surprised to find tacky conditions and no mud or slime! 🤙🏻🤘🏻

Even through the snow, it wasn't too bad – maybe a little walking to keep it interesting.

If you'd like to stay informed or make a suggestion about community rides and events, comment 👇🏻 or send a DM 💌 and I'll send you an invite to the WhatsApp group. Everyone is welcome! 🌈✨

See ya next Tuesday! ✌🏻🚲

Got the commuter rolling again 🙏🏻 just in time for some nice dry gravel and quiet paved back roads.

The wind died down quite a bit today compared to what it's been... It was nice to NOT have 50 mph gusts today.

Rode north and then west of town out to and along the river and looped into Driggs. A nice 34 mile, low-key mixed surface ride from home. 👌🏻

South Valley Trails in Victor, Idaho

A pretty slow start to our snowpack so far this winter. Usually we're well into grooming these trails by now (we can be riding groomed singletrack as early as late October).

Snuck in a good ride on some interesting snow conditions before the rain came back into the valley. Started up Nemos, "breaking trail" over a 1-2" crust layer, with an icy base—a wee sketch. Bud & Lous are the way.

Other trails had nothing but a skiff to bare dirt to nicely rider-packed (where you roll over it enough that it becomes faster, smoother & more predictable, although I rarely use that word about fatbiking – nothing predictable about it.

But those conditions are long gone and we're in another rain cycle... C'mon snow! We need you! 🙏🏻

Feel free to reach out if you're ever looking for fatbike ride recommendations in the Tetons or surrounding region.
