In my work , I use mostly silver and copper as metals and as I love color, lots of it in the form of glass, enamels, polymer clays, leather and semiprecious stones. For more color and textures a variety of metalsmithing techniques come into play like: patinas ,forging , foldforming , stamping and others.

I got as close as I could, do***ng the 20 black birds on the neighbor tree, popping all overšŸ¤£ this is the one that resembles the red royal ponciana the most, of the 2 that come out when you look it up on the internet. Same tree shape and open canopy grow habit and same flower but different color.

You can make a lot of different shapes using a round disk cutter. Here is how I cut a trillion shape. Yes , this is one of the larger cutters. Yes , it works with a brass hammer, no need for a press.

Havenā€™t done this in a long time, working with such a thick wire (4mm) is a little more complicated than the wires I have been using lately ( gauge 10 at the most, very soft)and no anealing. But I looove the way it came out!šŸ˜
