Fresh in Fourteen A today! New notebooks by Kim (Random Stuff) all made from scrap paper/labels/stamps/record sleeves/dress patterns etc etc. Look closely at some of the covers. What will make you chuckle I wonder? The one with "The Merry Wives of Windsor" did it for me!!!

Our wonderful Sharon (So Handmade in Devon) won a 'Special Award' at the Kingsbridge Show on Saturday. Very well deserved so say all of us in Fourteen A! Come and see her fabulous lampshades, bags, cushions etc here, in Modbury along with all our other locally made arts, crafts, books and vinyl. Open Tuesday to Saturday 10.15am to 4.30pm.

Latest 2 weaves off my loom! Difficult to capture the true colours but the pink one is more the shade of raspberries and cream and not the bluey pink. The pink one is 50% fine Merino wool and 50% brushed alpaca. It is so soft and cosy! The other one is 100% cotton, also beautifully soft and drapey. They will be available to buy in Fourteen A tomorrow, Saturday 29 August until the end of Tuesday, 1st September and then will be at the Kingsbridge Show on Saturday 5 September on the Kingsbridge Weaving Loft's stand in the Country Scene Marquee.

Latest makes in Fourteen A! Fabulous new sardine pictures by Kim (Random Stuff)made using sardine packaging, stunning new lampshade by Sharon (So Handmade in Devon) and a necklace by yours truly! Having sold quite a few necklaces, bracelets and earrings recently, I've been going through my hoard of beads and made a few things in the last couple of days. Here's one of the necklaces I'm particularly pleased with! It will be in Fourteen A tomorrow, along with a necklace I've re-strung of vintage rare Peking glass beads and several bracelets.

I made myself a necklace at the weekend and then made a similar one to sell in Fourteen A with a bracelet to go with it....

Back in 1999 I commissioned Moorland Pottery in Stoke on Trent to make 200 mugs to remember the total eclipse on 11 August. I sold the last one on the day of the eclipse but kept one for me. See photos. I wonder how many others still exist?

A glimpse of what's new today in Fourteen A! Gorgeous new lamps and lampshades by Sharon (So Handmade in Devon), also cushions and bags by Sharon and new mirrors made in Kingsbridge by Richard from old pallets. Richard has included John Masefield's classic poem, Sea-Fever on the frame and the back of the mirror. One of Sharon's bags is made using a lovely old grain sack and another a hair on cow hide!
