🍂 Fall Draping Throwback! 🍂

Here’s another throwback to a traditional fall design I created using a variety of textures, including polyester, sequin, crushed taffeta, and stretch fabric.

Although polyester isn’t typically my go-to fabric, I believe in making the most of what I have in my inventory and finding creative ways to incorporate it into my designs! ✨

For this look, I used traditional fall colors of brown, yellow, and orange to create a warm, seasonal design.

✨ Throwback to a beautiful quinceañera design! ✨

For this design, I used a soft and feminine combination of pink, rose gold, and white. 💕✨

I intentionally created an open backdrop design because I knew a throne chair would be placed directly in front of it. I also added florals across the top of the backdrop to create a beautiful finishing touch.

The combination of the pink tones, rose gold accents, and flowers made this design absolutely perfect for a teenage girl celebrating such a special milestone! 👑🌸

Sometimes, to get the exact color you need for your design, you may have to purchase your fabric by the yard and create your own pocket.

✨ Draping Tip: Make sure your pocket is 4 inches wide to properly accommodate your hardware!

It’s all about customizing your materials to achieve the look you envision! ✨

👑✨ Throwback to one of my Crown Backdrop Designs! ✨👑

I get SO many questions about how I added the crown to this design, so here are a few tips! 👇🏽

Because the crown is heavy, it needs to be supported by both a top bar AND a bottom bar. You’ll also need the proper brackets to securely attach everything.

💡 PRO TIP: I recommend investing in the more expensive crown option. It comes with a bar that allows you to attach your draping fabric, which makes creating this design much easier!

✨ Pinching Technique Tutorial! ✨

A lot of you requested to see how I create the pinching technique, so here it is! 🙌🏽

With stretchy fabric and your choice of pipe cleaners, zip ties, or rubber bands to secure the fabric, you can achieve this beautiful look!

The key is in how you gather and secure the fabric to create those defined pinches. Once you get the hang of it, you can use this technique to add texture and dimension to your draping designs.
