I can’t give any sneak peeks yet as she wants to keep it a surprise but…. I’m working on a new pendant for Lazer 103.3 dj, Heather, and guys I’m so excited!
I’m also laughing at the irony of sculpting/painting a dog while all puffy due to an allergic reaction to one 😂

Finished my first silver clay pieces today! Wow, what a learning experience, and very much in the hard way! Silver clay is a special clay mixed with pure silver particles. When fired, the clay burns off, the piece shrinks a bit, and it become pure fine silver. The mayo jar is a donation for Mayofest, a wonderful little festival in remembrance of a life lost too soon. I kind of want to keep one of the fried egg babies but you’re welcome to talk me out of it 😘 Special thanks to Kolby for helping with the firing & teaching me the finishing process- you the mvp!

hey yall! Long time no see! I’ve been in hermit mode. Last years vending season really killed my spirits but I’m finally back to creating. Thought I’d share some of what I’ve been doing.
This is a current work in progress. I’ve been feeling deflated, drained, sucked dry by the greedy mouths of humanity. My inner child pushed aside, broken, trampled, fried.

My bestie has a crazy way of not only getting me out of art block but also giving me a challenge with such a good reason that I can’t say no. This is one of those. Her brother-in-law joked that he wanted a griffin for Christmas so they came straight to me. Griffins & landscapes aren’t things I do often but this dude has had a hell of a year so by golly he was gonna get one! The Griffin sores above the fog on a beand new day; just as I hope he will. I’m proud of how it came out; especially after months without painting. These are without flash & with to show the metallic details. Original watercolor with marker by me.

I have had to take a bit of a step back lately due to a bad concussion but I’ll tell ya; it’s come as unexpected reset that I REALLY needed. Limiting not only my screen time but my listening & intense/small detail focus time to about 20 mins per hour… it really changes your world & forces you FIND SOMETHING TO DO. At first that was really hard & the depression started to kick in. But a friend gave me a heart to heart & told me to just pick something to work on in my house that was bothering me. So I did. And then I picked up a book for the first time in years. Then I painted this beautiful pot. And I also rested and meditated and did a lot of thinking. And it’s not over yet; here’s to emerging from this a healed butterfly with a much harder head!
