The biggest reason for the creation of this very important Etsy site, and any monies resulting from its sales, is due to the very personal loss of my beloved partner, Darci Leigh Lindsey, in July of 2010. In the midst of great sorrow and profound loss, I want to find joy again in helping others. Darci faced a traumatic childhood of severe physical and emotional abuse that resulted in the early onset of "borderline personality disorder" and crippling anxiety...eventually leading to the suicidal loss of this beautiful, fiercely intelligent, humanitarian woman who brought so much love and light to this world. I aim, with your help, to provide ongoing funds to support crisis prevention services to so many children facing daily abuse. No child should feel unloved, unwanted, abandoned. I believe, with all my heart, that my soul-mate would still be here today if measures had been taken early on to prevent the abuse when it first began.
