💛Meet The Maker💛
It’s been a few years since I have introduced myself on here and there are a ton of new faces! My name is Katelyn Michael. I am a wife and mama to two wild kids. We live in the high desert of North Eastern California. I started creating things with beads when I was in high school, then learned how to make mohair cinches in 2023 right after having my second baby.. and soon after picked up the wool and latch hook in 2024! I started creating things that my husband and I needed for day to day work and it’s grown into so much more than that in the past few years. I truly love making every single thing that comes out of my shop. The old ways & traditions mean the world to me and I strive to keep them alive through my work. We are deeply rooted in the western way of life and although things are always progressing, my goal is to improve little things while keeping the integrity of tradition. My pulled wool saddle pads are made on 💯 natural fibers starting with the cotton mesh to the wool roving made of 💯 wool. 🐑
I think about the horses comfort for those long, hard days of work. Everything I make has been put to the test and is tried & true. If you made it this far, let me know if you have any questions below!! 💛🐑
