Turquoise inlay is so tedious, but it is so gratifying and you can’t come anywhere close with crushed turquoise. Change my mind!

I’ve had a bit of a fascination with dragonflies lately. So I decided to make one hug and amethyst in 14 K gold. I’m calling it “La Libélula” which is both French and Spanish for dragonfly. Amethyst IgnacioLopez

Happy Sunday folks! The scissor tail fly catcher pendants are here! Questions:
1) Would you like to see them smaller?
2) would some of you prefer a configuration to where they are horizontal/flying across your chest rather than their current vertical configuration.

The Scissortailed Flycatcher spiritually symbolizes adaptability, sharp intuition, and the active pursuit of knowledge. Known for its dramatic flight and long, forked tail, it embodies the energy of precision, encouraging you to cut through distractions to focus on what truly nourishes your soul.

Key Metaphysical Meanings:
Adaptability & Resourcefulness: The scissor-tail represents flexibility and the ability to utilize surrounding resources efficiently, reflecting a need to adapt to changing environments.

Quiet Discernment & Intuition: Similar to other flycatchers, they carry the energy of quiet intuition, urging trust in your inner knowing to choose when to act and when to remain still.

Active Pursuit of Knowledge: They encourage paying close attention to signs in your environment, symbolizing learning and mental agility.

Protection & Boundaries: Due to their territorial nature (they are part of the tyrant flycatcher family), they can symbolize a need to fiercely defend your personal space, energy, and peace.

Balanced Energy: With their unique, long tails and contrasting colors, they can represent the balance between flexibility and precision.

In many spiritual beliefs, seeing a unique bird like this is also considered a sign or message from the spirit world, urging you to pay attention to your surroundings.

2) “La Princessa” - The Princess
3) The Stylist (bc it looks like a womans hair)

What’s your fave? OR...what would YOU call it? Thanks in advance for your help!

A little bit of the creation process for you. About halfway through there’s some seriously cool ASMR as I crack off the printing supports off the piece. My iPhone’s microphone did a great job because I’ve never noticed how good it sounds. 😜

Where are my Okies at? In case you didn’t know, the Scissortail Fly-Catcher is the State bird of Oklahoma. I’ve designed some earrings, a pendant, and a tie clip. Gold, silver, and diamonds. You don’t have to be an Okie to get one. You can just like Scissortails. ;)

For sure there’s going to be a ring.

Feels good to be done with the design work! Twas a beast!

Making some progress on my scissortail. Each feather and form is created individually in CAD. It gives a LOT of flexibility for production later. You can scale it to any size, you can mirror the entire object to make symmetrical designs for something like earrings. You could bend it around a curve and mirror it to make a crown. These photos show the kinds of updates that you get from me when you commission me to make something for you.

I went with CAD instead of clay sculpture because I just wanted to see if I could do it. I think I will do a clay sculpture as well.

So I’ve gotten a bug to make some scissor tail fly catcher jewelry. I want to be able to sculpt what you’re seeing here. I couldn’t find a picture anywhere so I found a few and Photoshopped them together. I’m pretty happy with the results. Feels like freedom.
