SFC wishes a wonderful Memorial Day holiday weekend to all. Our June Artwalk preparations are on schedule, with some truly special items. This Mexican agate is a standout piece. Acquiring it was fortunate, and the first cut revealed a striking pattern that we didn't exspect. We threw a quick polish on it to clean it up, and ultimately it yielded one of my favorite agates.

Please note we are monitoring the weather very closely today. If it continues to predict storms and lighting during the afternoon we will have to consider staying in. We are currently packed up and ready ! Fingers crossed 🤞 we will make our final decision around 2 pm, and of course with lighting in the forecast, the city may very well decide to cancel the event as well. At this time we are still partying like its 1969 😆😎

We are getting ready for another Artwalk! It is hard to believe how fast this month has passed by, Deb and I have prepared some amazing new items, including some new bracelets and pendants made in-house. If you would like to see any of these specimens in person, I can bring them to Artwalk for you to view, and consider for purchase. I would rather not ship any of the more delicate specimens through our lovely mail system. We cant wait to see everyone on Friday

This septarian nodule is beautifully carved into an egg shape, showcasing a wonderful additional formation of calcite. The name 'dragonstone' is another term I've heard people use to identify this stone.👏

A superbly crystallized Wolframite specimen from Yaogangxian, China, boasts exceptional luster, significantly enhancing its aesthetic appeal. Wolframite is an iron manganese tungstate mineral, and is the chief ore of tungsten, it is often found in hydrothermal veins.

Outstanding Yaogangxian Fluorite and Pyrite on Quartz exemplify the province's mineral wealth. The value of Yaogangxian materials is escalating rapidly due to the confirmed depletion of ore beds and the mine's unlikely reopening. China's Hunan province generates some of the world's most coveted mineral specimens. As spring arrives, we hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Artwalk is just around the corner, scheduled in roughly two weeks, and we are gearing up for the event.
