As of a few months ago, some of our designs went up on our newly revamped website!

As time allows, we will be adding more to the site, but if you have seen something you liked at Dublin Irish Festival (or other shows in the past) and don’t see it there, please message us!

Let them know what you think!
We would love to be back in our old spot in the Emerald Arts Isle next year to see everyone and have our wares be seen (and purchased)!

We want your feedback! As we start planning for the 2022 Dublin Irish Festival, we want to know: What did you like the most about Dublin Irish Days in Downtown Dublin?

Drop your thoughts in the comments! ⬇️

As of today, I've been weaving chainmail for 25 years!

Twenty five years ago, my cousins Gail and Jim got married in a SCA wedding event. (Happy Anniversary!)
Since most of their friends were SCA peeps, many of them were wearing armor and chainmail. I was drawn to the sparkle and the consistency of the rings, and thought it was so cool!

So at the reception, I asked to look at one of the guys' shirts. I did my best to try to memorize the weave pattern. One of the guys handed me a few spare rings and some pliers and after about ten minutes on my own I had it figured out. (Once you start weaving maille, you take it with you everywhere - even wedding receptions.😉)

When we got home from the wedding, Alvin helped me set up a rig to wind my own steel rings and cut them apart. I even hand filed every ring end so they would butt up perfectly. The first thing I made was a tank top with 18 gauge 1/4" diameter steel rings, which I wore over a black suede dress to a high school homecoming dance.

Now I make all kinds of things in a variety of metals. I'm still drawn to the endless consistency of round rings and yet am excited by the potential they have to be woven into so many different weaves and objects. I love the feel of pliers and rings in my hands, the ideas that pop to mind for new designs all the time, and the enjoyment that this hobby has brought me for more than two-thirds of my life.

So thank you to all of my family and friends, and patrons, for encouraging me to do something I really love to do!

We had another fun year at Dublin Irish Festival. We loved seeing returning customers and meeting new ones. I'm not even all unpacked, and I'm already thinking of what new things to do for next year. Signs of Spirit was a great booth-mate, keeping a steady stream of much needed sugar coming our way!

A little late, but thanks to my ever-helpful and supportive crew, Adam, Jeff, and Jess. It was great to see Coop and Katrina from Signs Of Spirit, who are the best tent-mates anyone could hope for.

Only two custom orders left from the Irish Festival to be completed, and there are already some new materials to test out for next year are on their way here to be played with.

For everyone who came to see us at Dublin Irish, Thank You! And anyone that didn't get to see us this year should definitely come check us out next year!
