For his 10th birthday we got him a rock tumbler. He does the rock tumbling and I do the crafting. It takes quite a bit of time and patience to just to finish these rocks. Once finished, I sift through the them looking for the perfect jewelry making rocks. Then I drill a hole in them and seal them with a clear gloss coat. Once they are dry, I wrap them with jewelry wire and fix them to a cord neckl
ace. The process from beginning to end can take up to 3 weeks. You can purchase necklaces as is from my current collections or you can put in a request for a custom project, as long as supplies are available. Cords and chains can be cut to a specific length as well.
