โ๏ธ What a spectacular day we had in Wrentham yesterday! โ๏ธ
Our WAE nearly sold out, and we welcomed a fantastic group of Dobermans and their dedicated handlers to the field. With fantastic sunny and cool weather and an incredible group of participants, it was truly a wonderful day to test what our breed was originally bred for.
A huge thank you goes to Kris Harner for serving as our evaluator. Kris was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, supportive, and fair throughout the entire day. We are grateful for the time, expertise, and encouragement she provided to every team.
As is typical for this challenging temperament evaluation, approximately 52% of entries earned a passing score. The WAE is designed to assess the innate character of our breed, and passing is something to be proud of!
We also are incredibly proud of how all the teams handled each testing station. Many dogs truly excelled in some of the most challenging exercises, especially the decoy scenario, where confidence, nerve, and recovery are put to the test. It was wonderful to see so many Dobermans rise to the occasion and demonstrate the qualities that make our breed so special.
While not every team earned a passing score this time, we are confident many of them will return stronger, more experienced, and ready to earn their WAC title at a future event. The willingness to step onto the field and test your dog is an accomplishment in itself, and we applaud every participant who gave it a try. ๐๐ค
Did you attend our WAE yesterday? If so, we would love to celebrate your accomplishment! Send us (message or email) your pass photo along with your name and your dogโs call name, and weโll proudly showcase your team on our page. ๐ค๐ค๐พ
Congratulations to everyone who stepped onto the field and put their dogs to the test!
