Aletheia & Phοs

Aletheia & Phοs Aletheia & Phos is an independent jewellery label based in Melbourne, Australia. The theme of connection lies at the heart and soul of this brand.

Aletheia & Phos is an Australian fine jewellery label based in Melbourne, Australia. Born in the eclectic suburb of Fitzroy with mixed Italian and Greek heritage, Alicia formed a strong foundation for connection: ”My family is crazy about love.”

Her childhood obsession for crystals together with almost 10 years of fashion industry experience as a buyer, designer and product developer, has helped

nurture Aletheia & Phos to where it is today. The early days saw Alicia dedicating late nights after work to making crystal bracelets at her kitchen table, jewellery became a creative outlet, a form of storytelling: “My life revolves around nostalgia; sights, smells, feelings, fashion - always a longing to be back 'there'. What I was creating represented my heart; emotions and feelings translated into something that could be shared. It was a way for me to verbalise all the feelings I felt so deeply.”

Attracting friends and customers near and far, these efforts caught the eye of Australian it-girl and model, Mimi Elashiry, soon transpiring into a friendship and collaboration range. Each piece is designed with sentiment and intention. The Connector Bracelet was made to help stay connected to home, no matter how far one travelled; a piece you could gift to your lover, best friend, sister, and brother, or simply yourself.

IL DOLCE FAR NIENTE | The Art of Doing Nothing

This collection feels so apt right now. Conjured after 4 months in Sicily, this is exactly the feeling I wanted to capture forever.

In the morning, the ocean moves like a thousand gemstones in the sun, waves lapping gently at the shore like liquid diamonds. A gentle breeze stirs yesterday’s patterned beach towel hanging from the balcony, while giddy beachgoers below traverse the tiny street alleys, anticipating a day with no plans. The sound of clinking coffee cups, the turning pages of a novel, and the innocent sounds of a scooter’s horn pass by.

At night, clouds drift through a sultry, cobalt sky as the cicadas begin a symphony. Wine glasses clink, as the ebb and flow of conversation moves from whispers to laughter to cheerful cries and back again, until the town decides to take rest once again.

Time feels different here.

The magnificent beauty of the natural world, how it focuses our attention on the little things, often thought to be mundane. Like the delicate cracks in mosaic tiles, laid in the four walls of buildings older than we can fathom, using materials and shapes we could never imagine. Or the gentle whir of a cafe ceiling fan, the soundtrack to accompany our first, second, and third sip of espresso.

Perhaps doing nothing is actually doing something: noticing.

Something conscious. Something present. Something that makes us believe in magic.

These magic moments of doing nothing. Il dolce far niente.

There is a quiet power in what we carry. In the symbols we choose to wear, the ones that echo through memory, gesture, and touch.

Inspired by the intersection of story and substance, every piece I create is a relic of personal mythology, formed not just from precious metal, but from meaning. From memory. From moments we return to.

Some of those moments begin at dinner tables. With inked napkins passed between hands. Words drawn late at night that become anchors by morning. These handwritten notes, quiet reminders of hope, truth, and friendship, end up taped to mirrors, where they greet us each day like soft echoes of who we are and what we’re still becoming.

This collection is born from that ritual. The napkins. The mirrors. The notes we write and re-read. The things we reflect back to ourselves, deliberately, tenderly, over time.

It’s a love letter to the ones who know us best, and to the parts of ourselves we’re still learning to hold. A reminder that the most personal things often speak the loudest, even in a whisper.

The quietest shade of loud.

The final pieces I created. The Mirror and The Eros Angel, two talismans shaped from lived experience and instinct.

The Eros Angel moves as aliveness itself.

Eros as sharpness. Precision. As choice. As the moment you come back online. A symbol of desire not just for another, but for life in its entirety. For sensation, curiosity, presence, wanting with direction. Erotic not as performance, but as embodiment. It honours the instinct that knows what it wants and moves toward it.

Together, these pieces speak to becoming.
To self-possession. To desire that has direction. To a life lived deliberately and with heat.

Available online.

Two hearts. One bond. The last remaining design from our I Carry Your Heart Collection.

The Two Hearts Ring carries solid gold anatomical hearts. One for you, one for the one you carry. Or both for the parts of yourself you keep closest.

It’s a quiet gesture of love, to someone else, or to yourself. A talismanic symbol of the moments that stay, the cherished connections, the stories we keep close.

A heart of gold forever.

The last pieces in the world are available online.

The final pieces I created. Introducing The Mirror and The Eros Angel, two new talismans shaped from lived experience and instinct.

Engraved with the words, I Am The Prize. It honours everything you have lived, every person you encountered, every lesson learned through the body and the heart that becomes part of you. Power. Direction. Magnetism. Devotion to self. Not something you arrive at, but something shaped by living fully. Worn close, The Mirror gathers light, movement, and memory, reflecting the totality of who you are and who you continue to become.

Alongside it, The Eros Angel moves as aliveness itself.

El is probably the kindest and most considerate person I know. She became my right hand person, was the heart and soul of our Fitzroy store, and even though we both have brains that go 100mph, she is cool as a cucumber, composed, and effortless. While I forget to eat lunch, lock myself out of the shop, and make her (us) listen to the same album on repeat for 90 days eventually driving both of us insane.

This is El’s story. About coffee, after her mum passed.

The bench surrounded by people. Grief folded in with coffee and conversation.

Someone paused, looked at her, and said—“You look just like your mum in the kitchen.”

It stayed with her.
Because in that moment, she realised her mum hadn’t really gone.

She lived on.
In El’s movements. In the rituals.
In the rhythm of morning.
Especially when the coffee’s on the stove.
