This one was a real labor of love for the challenge, the other artists along with me on this journey and Brenda Sue Lansdowne who was the inspirational force behind all of us and the first Build a Line Challenge. 12/7/14 Well I had my first craft show yesterday in at least 12 years or more under my belt. It was 1st The Lauren Hill Wings of Hope Foundation Extravaganza that was designed to raise money ongoing for families with a loved one with DIPG and to raise awareness for DIPG and pediatric cancer. It was a success and hundreds of people showed their love and dollars for Lauren. I designed the Wings of Hope necklace for this event as a donation for the raffle in addition to a Polymer Clay Class to learn some basics & make a bracelet along with earrings. I learned a lot and remembered all of the work and preparation that goes into doing shows. I had a u shaped office desk and struggled with the table coverings and need to fine tune some things and be better prepared for next time. I felt I sold pretty well ( better than expected) for getting back into doing a show after such long time. Not quite the venue for the big showy pieces to sell but it did draw people in It doesn't pay like the corporate world (yet) ( which hubby doesn't like) but sometimes to do what you love is priceless. I need to focus on where I want to go with this in the future and hope that Brenda’s Build Your Own Line Challenge event starting in January will help with this……I am now officially Jan Lea Designs!! Now I need to really work on my FB business page which needs a lot of help!! Thanks to all of the friends & Brenda in these groups that have been such an inspiration

B'sue necklace blank and leaves used in this project painted with Swellegant. I also used a mold I made for the polymer roses highlighted with copper swellegant adding some chain and beads from my stash. Love to mix metal & polymer!
