Some things are meant to be found. "Trapped", takes you back to an untold story of survival and escape, the things we leave behind, the places that once sheltered us, and what becomes visible when we finally open the door and explore the world around us. This is a Shiva eye shell, the natural, protective calcareous "trapdoor" (operculum) of the Turban sea snail paired with a fine silver bail and accents of picture jasper. Celebrating Labor Day and the annual Food Truck Festival at the market today. Take the day relax, try some new cuisine and enjoy the "fruits of your labor". Just a note to say my shop will be closed until Friday, taking a short break!

The shell gets its name because its two sides look completely different, beautifully blending mathematics, biology, and spirituality. The Shiva Eye Shell, also known as the Pacific Cat's Eye, is not actually a standalone seashell, but rather the calcified "trap door" (operculum) of the Turban sea snail. Found in the tropical waters of Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia, this unique structure serves as a protective barrier that seals the snail inside its main shell to ward off predators. When the snail reaches the end of its natural life, the operculum detaches and sinks to the seabed, eventually washing ashore. Named after the Hindu deity Lord Shiva, the eye side symbolizes his Third Eye, which represents higher consciousness, universal wisdom, and the flow of life. Because it literally resembles an eye, it has been used for centuries across different cultures as a powerful talisman to ward off the "Evil Eye" and reflect negative energies away from the wearer. Historically dubbed "Mermaids' Money" by coastal folklore, it is considered a good luck charm for fishermen, sailors, and travelers.

Chocolate silk moonstone has that quiet “look twice” quality—from a distance it can appear simply warm and earthy, but when the light moves across it, the silky glow reveals itself. These are a little more of a taupe color than pink and they are gorgeous! Just a little something to make you feel even more amazing. Today the Chattanooga Market is celebrating "Team Spirit Day" a chance to get an early start on the upcoming sports season! Wear your favorite team colors and you will score 10% off at my booth! Have a fun day and get ready to cheer on the season!

Moonstone has traditionally been associated with the moon, intuition, femininity, cycles, and inner reflection. It has long been regarded as a stone of new beginnings and gentle transformation.
The chocolate-toned varieties add a more earthy symbolism. They are often associated with grounding, stability, warmth, comfort, and connection to the natural world. The combination makes an interesting contrast: moonstone's traditional connection to the mysterious and intuitive, with the brown coloring bringing it back to earth. Moonstone is a feldspar mineral, most commonly orthoclase or closely related feldspar varieties. Moonstone deposits are found in several parts of the world, including India, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Tanzania, and Myanmar. The silky appearance comes from the stone’s internal structure. In moonstone, tiny layers or inclusions within the feldspar create adularescence—that floating, almost glowing light that appears beneath the surface rather than simply reflecting off it.

"Bali Moon" a little bit of a departure for me but it's always good to branch out and try new things. This one is fine silver with Mother of Pearl as the center. I was really pleased with how it turned out and it sold last week when it was displayed for the first time so I guess it worked out well. The weather is a little better this week and hope to see everyone out and about. I know it's a little early but the holidays are right around the corner and it helps to start a bit early! I was really touched to see how many people came out last week as the heat was really brutal. Today should be much better so venture out, try something new and enjoy the summer!

Nacre, is the shiny, rainbow-colored inner layer of certain mollusk shells, such as pearl oysters, freshwater mussels, and abalones. It is the exact same material used to form pearls, but it lines the flat walls of the shell instead of growing in a round shape. Because mother of pearl (nacre) and the pearls born from it are bound together in the same shells, global cultures have woven them into shared legends of gods, tears, and protective magic.

"Summer Breeze" a nod to the clear blue skies of summer, warm sun and lazy days. There is something about turquoise that makes you think of places far away. Blue skies over mountains, ancient roads, prayer flags moving in the wind, and a landscape shaped by time. Tibetan turquoise has been treasured for centuries, and looking at a beautiful piece of it, it isn't difficult to understand why. Market trivia is the theme today, how much do you know about the market? A little warm but we will be in the shade so stop by and take a few guesses on the trivia board. Hope to see you, we will be taking things a little slow today after all it is the "lazy, hazy days of summer". Vintage jade has its own special appeal. Unlike newly fashioned jade jewelry, vintage jade carries a sense of history and time — a stone that has already had a life before becoming part of something new. Jade has long been associated with harmony, protection, balance, and good fortune, and its enduring green color naturally evokes growth and renewal.
Vintage jade has a long history of being treasured for its beauty and symbolism. Jade has traditionally been associated with harmony, protection, balance, and good fortune, while its beautiful green color has often been connected with growth and renewal.
Jade is the official “stone of dreams.” Not only will it help you manifest dreams into fruition, but jade has many other healing properties.

Peridot is a vibrant, transparent gemstone prized for its signature yellowish-green color and rich history dating back over 4,000 years. Unlike many other gemstones that get their color from trace impurities, peridot is idiochromatic, meaning its vivid green hue comes directly from the iron within its own chemical structure. : The ancient Egyptians fiercely guarded the original mining site on Zabargad Island in the Red Sea. They dubbed peridot the "gem of the sun," believing it could glow in the dark and protect the wearer from nightmares and evil spirits. : Because of its lush green tone, peridot was frequently mistaken for emerald. Historians suspect that Cleopatra’s legendary emerald collection actually consisted of peridots, and the famous 200-carat "emeralds" adorning the Shrine of the Three Holy Kings in Germany's Cologne Cathedral are also peridots.

There is a quiet elegance found in nature, where every leaf tells the story of growth, resilience, and renewal. Yet even as we grow and change we still look to the past, maybe for confirmation the choices we have made put us on the right path. This is a design I have created before but I do like to revisit them as I frequently do with my bridge series. Make a few changes and begin to look at it in new and different ways. This one is spoken for and has found it's new home. Seemed a perfect fit for today's Singer-Songwriter Sunday as songs are stories that are told and brought to life with the perfect melody. Join us or sign up and tell your own story. Hope to see you all, bring some smiles and have a wonderful day!

Called the Atlantis Stone or the Dolphin stone it is both sea and sky, water and fire, reflecting the beauty of it's island origin. Representing peace and clarity it sends love and healing. Larimar is a stone for Earth healing and is also sometimes called the Caribbean Opal. A rare blue variety of pectolite it is found only in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. Its coloration varies from white, light-blue, green-blue to deep blue.
'Edgar Cayce predicted that on one of the Caribbean islands, being the remnants of Atlantis, a blue stone of Atlantean origin would be found with extraordinary healing attributes. In 1974, Larimar was found in the Dominican Republic.
The appearance of Larimar coincides with the emergence of esoteric knowledge about Atlantis. There are now thousands who recognize and use Larimar to assist and reinforce the healing process, and access the lost knowledge of Atlantis.
Dolphin Stone is another popular name for Larimar, as dolphins were associated with Atlantis and Larimar was used as a tool to enhance communication with them. Whats fascinating is that Larimar often exhibits patterns with dolphins, angels, and Greek columns, as well as other easily recognized images." Inspired by hidden crystal caverns and the quiet beauty found beneath the earth's surface, Into the Depths celebrates nature's ability to create extraordinary treasures. Featuring cone-shaped drusy quartz with soft layers of gray, pale gray, and touches of white. At the base of each stone, an open drusy cavity reveals a sparkling crystalline interior, while tiny flecks of silver pyrite glimmer throughout, adding natural brilliance and depth. Into the Depths is a reminder that some of nature's greatest beauty lies beneath the surface—waiting to be discovered.
The Peach festival will be in full swing today at the market, one of the sweetest days of the season at the Chattanooga Market! Fresh peaches are in season, our farmers are bringing their best harvests, and you'll find plenty of peach-inspired treats throughout the market. Join us, spend the day and have some fun!

Drusy quartz forms over millions of years as mineral-rich water deposits countless microscopic quartz crystals within natural cavities in the host rock. The result is a sparkling surface that has fascinated collectors and jewelry lovers for centuries. Quartz has long been associated with clarity, harmony, and amplifying positive energy, while pyrite has traditionally symbolized confidence, protection, prosperity, and resilience. Together, they evoke the hidden beauty found deep within the earth, where time and nature patiently create extraordinary works of art.
