Cliff’s notes: travel tips and favs from my first day in Milan…

-When wet or rainy avoid the chic wide legs pants- you’ll live to regret it!

-when it comes to traveling with jewelry, earrings are always your best bet- no matter your layers they always make a statement. I love my Solara earrings as they are incredibly versatile and easy to wear.

-Carry a crossbody bag- we’ve been warned by so many locals how bad the pick pocketing is here.
My all time favorite is the Marcie bag in any size- even the small is roomy enough for everything you need, these bags are super durable and the flap keeps everything nice and secure.

-Cell phone battery life has been an issue so pack a light charging bank so you don’t have to pause the day to recharge your phone and while out use airplane mode when not using your phone.

-When planning your day put all the places you want to go into chat GPT- I used screen shots of lists so I didn’t have to type out all the Italian words 😬 then tell it where you’re staying and ask Chat to map out the most efficient agenda for the day. Saves a ton of time trying to figure out where everything is.

Looking forward to sharing the highlights of beautiful Milan with you for your next trip!

The best shoes for spring Euro vacation- can’t be hobbling around in uncomfortable shoes while living your best life! 😅

I’m headed to Italy and packing has been a challenge- especially when it comes to finding comfortable chic shoes. So after much shopping around this is my short list…

landmark wedge
Super cushy and flexible, nice almond toe shape and a cool quick buckle feature for easy on/off, great for shopping trips where you’re constantly taking your shoes off!

Derby sling backs- ultra flexible with beautiful soft suede = no breaking in required and a gorgeous soft pointed toe

Felicia sling backs- another super cushy pair with the pointed toe I had to have

My go-to sneakers are .nyc Tokyo, Oncept hands down makes the most comfortable sneakers. And Retro Runners are my tried and true ultra supportive cool girl sneakers.

I’m planning on layering for easy mixing and matching and adjusting to the variable weather and of course pulling together all the looks with my jewelry ✨

Wearing gypsy earrings, bones bracelet and I’ve layered my Elora and Adelaide necklaces in this reel.

If you spend way too much time standing in your closet trying to decide what to wear, if styling is not your strong suit - a collection of go-to pieces is your key to success. And investing in a small (or even better a large) selection of great jewelry is the best place to start- it always fits, it’s season-less and it can be the most impactful way to inject some real personality into your look. After jewelry; belts (another season-less and adjustable accessory that will last you many years) and then blazers/jackets are next in the core collection must haves.

Some of my favorite go-to jewelry pieces in my collection…

Bones bracelet (shown)
Solara cuff and earrings
Mantra cuff (shown- layered with watch)
Gypsy earrings (shown)
Fleet wood earrings (coming soon)
Elora necklace (coming soon)
Sorelle handmade chain necklace (shown and coming soon!)

It turns out jewelry designers are fashion critics too 😜
Who I think OWNED the Golden Globes red carpet and make sure to follow along for part 3 where I get creative with what jewelry I want to see on the red carpet! ✨

Reclaim your energy in 2026 ✨
Your mental and physical energy is a finite resource — you are the only one that can protect it.

When you give it away to things that don’t serve you (knowingly or unknowingly), the cost shows up fast:
You feel drained. Foggy. Irritable. Resentful. Unproductive.
You lose clarity. You lose momentum. You lose capacity.

For years, I gave my energy away because I thought that’s what being a good person looked like.
I didn’t want to be mean.
I didn’t want to disappoint people.
I thought saying no was selfish. I thought confronting things was unkind.

What I didn’t realize was that saying yes when I meant no didn’t make me kinder — it made me exhausted, resentful, and depleted.
And when you’re depleted, you have less energy to show up for your family, your work, your creativity, and the people you truly care about.

The shift came this year when I got honest about the consequences and that shift has been a massive game changer.

Saying yes to a “quick favor” that cost me three unpaid hours didn’t make me a better business owner — it made me worse.
I had fewer resources, less patience, and less energy to serve my clients well and build something sustainable.

So this is how I think about protecting my energy now:

1️⃣ Say no when something doesn’t serve you
If it costs you peace, clarity, time, or self-respect — it’s not a moral failure to say no. It’s self-responsibility.

2️⃣ Stop carrying other people’s emotions and problems.
You can care without carrying.
Other people’s reactions, moods, and issues are not your burden to manage or fix.

3️⃣ When someone shows you who they are, believe them
And if it’s not healthy or aligned, consider parting ways sooner rather than later.
Staying too long out of hope or guilt is one of the biggest energy drains there is.

Protecting your energy isn’t about becoming cold or uncaring.
It’s about having enough energy to actually be the person you want to be — with clarity, patience, and intention.

You’re not meant to be everything for everyone.
You’re meant to be well.
Here’s to 2026 a year of promise, a year we we protect our energy as we run towards success and happiness. 🥂✨💖

The 2 “must haves” to pull your look together in a pinch during this busy season- watch till the end, it actually works!

My favorite blazer by Veronica Beard and my Gypsy or Solara earrings absolutely transform a work shirt or tee from simply practical to pulled together and polished. ✨

An over sized blazer that you could wear over sweaters or sweatshirts or a tweed jacket are great options for the cold weather. My blazer is the classic Dicky jacket which runs true to size in my opinion and has zip in sweatshirt and sweater options sold separately. This is a bit of investment piece and well worth it- especially if you can get it on sale - Veronica Beard has several great options on sale right now!

The Gypsy earrings are my absolute favorite but if you aren’t a big earring girl the solara hoops or solara mini hoops (which also come in gold) are great alternatives. I’ve also found the bird of paradise mini earrings and la fuerza mini earrings to also make a serious statement without the size and weight of a bigger pair of earrings.

I hope this simple tip helps you pull it together in pinch and make the busy holiday season a bit easier!
