In his 16 years at A. Lange & Söhne, Anthony de Haas, head of the product development department, has made remarkable additions to the imaginary of the German manufacture, always under the inalienable premise of quality. For this reason, he does not hesitate to say that "we have to go back to our roots. It's easy for me to say, because we have our own movements and we are in the top segment of high finishes. But we have to try to surprise the world with beautiful and well-made products. That's the important thing.

One of the company's differentiating points is the character that the manufacture possesses. I think everyone who appreciates Lange doesn't want to show off. In fact, if you want to do it, you don't buy an A. Lange & Söhne, because almost nobody knows them. Only collectors. The funny thing is that when we get those customers together you do hear phrases like 'oh, look what that one is wearing!' or 'how did you get that?' And you see the sparkle in their eyes and you think 'this is the reason I do what I do.' Because they don't need to prove they have money or success.

While are crafted around a complex and delicate mechanical movement, the design and manufacture ensure maximum fit and reliability. The combination of style and mechanics is its hallmark. The mono-pusher rattrapante of FPJourne, emblem of the house, has two buttons at the same position as a traditional chronograph; two sub-dials conceal two synchronized balance wheels, while the stationary hands of an electromechanical mechanism reveal a clock in stand-by.

For the beginning of 2021, the famous LineSport collection has been enriched with the new Chronographe Monopoussoir model, available in three versions: platinum, red gold and titanium. The 44 mm diameter and 12 mm thick case boasts a renewed manual winding movement with a monopusher chronograph with rattrapante function.

Two new bracelets in platinum and gold with a satin finish were developed for the occasion. The titanium bracelet on the other hand is identical to the existing version of the LineSport. The case and the links are characterized by rubber inserts. This watch also has an 80-hour power reserve that allows you to use the chronograph with the split-seconds function for two days of running.

Each of the 3 versions has a different colored dial: for the platinum model, a blue guilloché silver dial, guilloché silver for the red gold model, while the titanium version has a slate-colored aluminum alloy dial.

Born from the development of the chronograph made for Only Watch, the new hand-wound caliber 1518 designed by FP Journe is, as always, entirely made in the Manufacture, where each expert watchmaker performs all the assembly steps from start to finish.

We have all entered that designer store and have said with or without knowledge "this Ferragamo watch looks like a for a fraction of its price" and yes, the reality is that designer stores make their watches making a kind of "tribute" to the most successful pieces on the market.

But a question worth asking is the following: Should you buy designer watches? the answer is actually highly personal, if your priority is to wear something that costs around 500$ but that looks "good" with your outfit, go ahead, buy that designer watch that doesn't transfer the value you paid to the piece to keep it in time, yes, we are telling you that you literally lose money, however, if your style is a little bit more classy, you should buy a designer watch, if your style is a little more classic and you have thought about your economic welfare in the future, buy that with your trusted dealer since you will have an exclusive, luxury piece to which you will have transferred its liquid value to an object that you will certainly enjoy and at the time you need it, you could sell it or inherit it and recover your investment.

Panerai produced watches for the Italian🇮🇹 Military Navy between 1938 and 1993, until due to cost, it moved to the civil market.

However, it was practically unknown until in 1995 the actor Sylvester Stallone bought a Panerai Luminor in a Roman jewelry store while shooting the film "Daylight."

He liked the watch so much that he asked for a series with his "Slytech" logo to offer to his friends, like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The watch became fashionable and the company was acquired by the Vendome group, now Richemont, in 1997. Another consequence of its success is that large-size watches came back into fashion, and many companies introduced larger-size watches.
