Sharing a special ring I just finished for a clients who are celebrating life together. I’m super proud of it. The last picture is the bottom dome of the ring before I assembled it. I hand carved all the details into the platinum. (Because the details matter!) a Stonehaven perspective on old school techniques. I love it!

I wanted to share a piece I created recently. I decided to try a different way of designing the band as it approaches the top portion of the ring. I like the organic lightness of the curves and the small 18k yellow gold accents against the platinum. I think they speak to the fancy color diamond center stone. What’s the verdict? Do we like it ?

This was a fun project. A client came in with a very sentimental sapphire that she and her children had “mined” while on vacation in the western part of the state years earlier. At the time someone had just sort of plopped it in a setting on a nice wide wedding band. This year it was time to give this memory the attention it deserved. I removed the old setting from the band and hand built this top piece from platinum. Set some beautiful accent diamonds in place and reset the sapphire. I love the stories I get to be a part of!
