Once Upon A Time
Long, long, long
Time ago
There was a Supreme Queen
Who knew she was
Every man’s dream
Curves so obscene
Ooo she was mean
Once even
Halted a murder scene
Just as she was going off to p*e
Men started shouting
Belligerently
Music blasting
Couldn’t much make out
The words
Goons crowded
In herds
Something ‘bout
Owed money
Mixed with
Missed opportunity
And friction
Between
Opposing teams
Now throw in the
Crack-heads and dope fiends
All chiming in
When…
Heated exchange turns to rage
When idiot pulls out
Of all things a 22 gauge
Then all these
Big dudes
Pulled out theirs too
The year was 2002
I knew there was something
I could do
to erase the hate
Long enough
For at least
Me to escape
And find
Relief
Cuz I was already
Within the path
Of attack
When that nut case
Pulled out his
Cup Cakes
I had to think fast
I let my eyes
Hang low
Swayed tipsily
Reacting in slow mo
Thanks to my con artist days
I had to p*ep game
Staying sharp
Always
But something about this day
Told me I would be okay
I knew I would stay safe
If I used tact and taste
Every man wants to
Keep a smile on a woman’s face
Eyes heavy
As if tipsy
And dizzy
And trippy
Almost half shut
I walk with strut
Half slanted smile on face
Hips twisted with grace
Made a huge display
Of a yawn
So all over the place
Extremely overplayed
But they didn’t even
Peep the Snake
Insinuating
Oozing
Manuevoring
In purposeful clumsy disorder
Hazed out disarray
I “dropped” my keys
In the gutter
Giggly flirt
Pretending not to notice
As I demandingly
Attain all the focus
In their dangerous schemes
They drooled over me
Cuz Oh my God I was really mean
In painted on jeans
And half tee
That exposed my belly ring
Just the motion made
Some eyes gleam
And lips were licked
The Gremlins loosened their
Murderous grips
So glad I was the only Queen
I needed them to stay on
My team
Focusing Only on me
Funny fact -
It was one of the shooters
G***k in hand
That “found” my keys in the gutter
And sand
He smiled so sweet
I could tell he wanted to protect me
He stayed with me until my cab came
And bought me a bottled water
Used to check up on me
Just to see what was happening
I’m still so gone
That guns had just been actually drawn
But it’s women
Of who they fawn
Don’t ever be a victim
Cuz we got the venom
That nourishes the system
Be a damsel on a mission
