Buddha Cat Pottery

Buddha Cat Pottery Tangible Whimsy in the form of Garden Art and Figurines The owner, Meriaten, is an avid animal-lover and garden art aficionado.

Buddha Cat Pottery was established in 2020 as a cottage studio that began out of necessity when Duvall's Northwest Art Center had to remain closed under lockdown restrictions. She loves to make whimsical figurines like gnomes, ornaments as souvenirs and garden art (custom or otherwise) that hangs on a fence. She loves coming up with ideas of images to stamp, carve, paint, transfer on discs that sh

e fastens together with copper wire and a hanging bell at the bottom. Ever a pottery-lover and collector, Meriaten took that passion for collecting beautiful works of ceramic art to the eventual making of pottery and hanging out with potters, who are a huge, warm and welcoming community. She has two cats, Lucy and Sami, and a hamster named Bart. She has lived in Duvall for 20 years currently raising 2 teens with a husband who makes fractal art and designs games. She loves Board Games, Star Trek, and Thai Food.

This crow container was stuck together after the glaze firing, but it was just a tiny spot that I was able to knock apart. Have I mentioned I love tiny spoons?
