As you've probably guessed, my name is Lindsey - a born and raised Minnesota blogger who lives in Minneapolis with my favorite person (and hubby) Cole. When I’m not living the corporate life during the week, I spend my free time exploring everything from my North Loop neighborhood to destinations overseas - and this is where you can find all the details! For the last few years, I've been jumping on a plane or taking a road trip any chance I can get, so I thought, why not write about it? I truly believe travel and new experiences shouldn’t be dreamt about as "someday” but should instead be something that’s part of your everyday life. So, no matter where you reside, take some time to look at what's around you differently. There's always something unique about it that you can't find anywhere else in the world! Convinced this Austria and Germany road trip is the best trip to take with little kids. Alpine lakes, castles, gondolas, playgrounds, and amazing family resorts. See everything we did, where we stayed, and where we ate here!

Our 14-day Austria and Germany itinerary with a 2 and 5 year old: family hotels, Alpine lakes, kid-friendly hikes, and Neuschwanstein Castle!

We brought our 2 and 5 year old to Austria and Germany for 14 days and have never been anywhere more kid friendly.

We went from Munich → Salzburg → the Austrian Alps → Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

We came for the family resorts and alpine playgrounds and stayed for the castles, gorge hikes, Austrian lakes, and German b**r gardens. A dream trip!!!

You don’t have to leave the US for a taste of the Bavarian Alps.

📍Leavenworth, Washington

We flew into Seattle then rented a car for the 2 hour trip to Leavenworth. It’s a beautiful drive!!

Traveling with little kids is equal part tough and rewarding. But we love it so much and wouldn’t trade traveling with our little besties for anything!

The local store of my dreams ✨ Coffee, ice cream, chocolates, and the cutest gift shop all in one?!

High Wheel Confectionery and Coffee House is located in Ironton, Minnesota (right next to Crosby, Minnesota) which is under 2 hours from the Twin Cities.

Make sure to stop here when you’re in the Cuyuna area. There’s so many other cute shops and things to do here!

The best fall day trip with little kids!

Little Falls, Minnesota is about 1.5 hours NW of the Twin Cities making it an easy trip to do in a day. Here’s everything we did!

🐻 Pine Grove Zoo - so well done and nice to stroll around to get up close to animals. We love it here!

🌲 Primeval Pine Grove - Located right next to the zoo, there’s a playground here in the gorgeous pines

🎣 Minnesota Fishing Museum - such a unique quirky spot! The vintage boats and fishing gear is a favorite.

🍕 Starry Eyed Brewing - a great spot for pizza and a brew!

🍁 Charles Lindbergh State Park - we took an easy walk (about 2 miles) around the stream and two footbridges

🍩 Little Falls Bakery and Deli - the best local treats! Grabbed some cute fall cookies and donuts.
