I suppose we've reached the point in our relationship where I should confess something.
I love dark romance.
And apparently my standards for fictional men and my standards for actual human behavior live in two completely different zip codes. 😂
On paper?
Morally gray. Possessive. Questionable decision-making. Probably needs therapy. Possibly dangerous.
Me reading:
“Well...let's hear him out.”
Obviously, fiction is fiction—and that's exactly why I enjoy it.
Books give us a safe place to explore stories, characters and situations we'd have absolutely NO interest in experiencing in real life.
That's part of the fun.
And dark romance was one of the genres that helped shape the idea behind The Night Owl.
So I want to know:
What book—or author—pulled YOU into dark romance?
And if dark romance isn't your thing, tell me the genre that owns your bookshelf instead.
No judgment inside The Night Owl Society. 🖤
Until Your Next Chapter,
Corrine
