Traffickers often look for vulnerability, not a specific type of person. Financial hardship, isolation, language barriers, and other circumstances can create opportunities for exploitation.
It’s important to remember that vulnerability does not mean someone is destined to experience trafficking. It means traffickers may look for circumstances they can manipulate or take advantage of.
Awareness helps us recognize these vulnerabilities, understand the warning signs, and respond with compassion rather than judgment.
Knowing the risk factors is one step toward prevention. 🤍
