Did you know?
When actor Ed Wynn was first starting out in 1902, one of his first jobs was performing with an acting troupe in Bangor. This was during the time when Bangor's rougher side was filled with saloons, brothels and the like. When Wynn's troupe ran out of money and his father refused to pay for his ticket home, Wynn took a job as a piano player in a Bangor brothel until he earned his fare home.
Wynn would go on to have a long career, including the Ziegfeld Follies and as Uncle Albert in Disney's "Mary Poppins".
