It feels like I haven’t done a reintro in a LONG time, and there have been so many new faces here lately, so it feels like it’s time.
Hi! I’m Calista (pronounced Cah-list-ah, not Cah-leest-ah), and I started my business as a private jeweler in 2017.
I launched my business from Nantucket Island, where I lived for more than 20 years, but my first engagement ring clients were in Boston. Because this is such a referral driven business, what started as a handful of Boston clients grew organically into thousands of you around the world.
I made the move to Boston full time a year ago this month, and it has been such a wonderful new chapter. I’m grateful for all of you, near and far!
A little more about me…
First and foremost, I’m a mom to the most darling 3 year old boy named Asher. Being a mom, as I often say, is the hardest best thing ever. Balancing motherhood with running a business has been one of the greatest challenges and joys of my life.
Have you ever seen a rough diamond before it’s cut and polished? It starts out looking like a dull little pebble with eight sides. The last few years of my life have felt a little like that, cutting away the parts that don’t matter and keeping the ones that do. Motherhood has a funny way of doing that. There isn’t much room for nonsense or noise, and you become very clear about what and who has access to your energy.
Years ago, before I became a mom, someone said to a room full of female jewelry founders at a conference in New York: “The work never stops. You have to.”
That sentence has stayed with me, and I understand it now more than ever. These days, I’m much more intentional about where I put my time and energy, both in my life and here. I keep this space focused mostly on my work, with little glimpses of the person behind it along the way. I’ve also always been pretty private, especially online, but I love connecting with people face to face. My relationships with my clients are incredibly important to me, and if we ever have the chance to meet, I think you’ll understand what I mean.
To everyone who has been here since the beginning, thank you. And to all of the new faces, welcome. I’m so glad you’re here. 🤍
