🕊️ REST IN POWER: KIKI SHEPARD 🕊️

If you ever watched Showtime at the Apollo, then you remember that presence… that grace… that voice.

Kiki Shepard wasn’t just the co-host of a legendary stage… she was part of the magic. ✨

From the late 1980s through the 00s, she stood beside Steve Harvey and helped introduce the world to rising stars… while holding her own with elegance, confidence, and style that defined an era.

But here’s what many don’t talk about enough…

Kiki Shepard represented a time when Black women on television brought class, intelligence, and quiet power to every room they walked into. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just presence.

She helped make the Apollo more than a show… it was a cultural institution. 🎤

And even beyond the stage, she carried herself as a symbol of beauty, strength, and professionalism that inspired generations.

Today, we don’t just mourn her passing…
We celebrate a woman who helped shape Black entertainment history.

Love did not begin with man. It is not a worldly human creation. It is a divine creation. Love came from God to us, not the other way around. This loving action gave us the opportunity to reciprocate this action to God and to others. In 1 John 4:9, John explains that Jesus was sent to us as an act of love, to show us the meaning. Live according to God's love and we do not need to fear judgment, living and loving freely and truthfully.

Dear heavenly Father, the truest love of my life, thank you for always being there for me. Forgive me, my Lord, for seeking you only when I need strength and support, and help me realize how fortunate I am that you are still always there. I wish to be more like you in my ways Lord, and be the strength for those around me as well. I pray to my rock and redeemer, my love and my Lord. Amen.
