Meet the cutest Halloween garment ever! It was made and worn by Linda during a workshop I taught today in Texas (on a totally unrelated topic). She got the gingham shirt at Old Navy and used a panel from the Coven collection by Robin Pickens for Moda Fabrics United Notions Linda teaches hand sewing and slow stitching locally. And if the shirt wasn’t enough, she lengthened her jeans and added sashiko to dress them up. She looked adorable!

Just $3.99 for this cute quilt at Goodwill last weekend. It’s beautifully quilted and skillfully bound but there is no label. I was born on Valentine’s Day so I think it was meant to be. I’ll give it a good home, I promise. ❤️❤️❤️

A huge thank you to Sharon N who gifted me this hand pieced vintage quilt top because she wasn’t sure what to do with it. I think it will become part of a mashup of patchwork from days gone by! Wouldn’t that be fun?! I’m headed to Dallas and Bear Creek QG, events tonight and tomorrow. Looking forward to it!

I like all the negative space in this simple design.

My friend Marilyn M has been busy. She wants to use up her stash!

Her quilty shirt was a gift from her husband. This is a Villa Rosa Designs finish.

The cutest witch hat!

Kelly’s finish featured a striking blue that just sings!

I was delighted to see the progress by Becky shared by BoulderMQG / Becky came to my StarQuar class recently and had panels she wanted to use in her project. She took StarQuar and ran, or rather GALLOPED forward. This is improv at its finest. Well done Becky 👏👏👏

Fowl Play was the subject for yesterday‘s class at the Best Little Retreat Center in Texas.

Love the salmon that Beth used for her dimensional flying geese.

It’s all about the values: light, medium and dark.

Kaye created an ombre effect with her flying geese.

Kemberly is well on her way to an amazing quilt.

Love the little pop of rainbow that Kim snuck in!

Kaye sized her blocks down to just 6”. Stunning is just around the corner!

We had a great time. Happy campers all!

Today was pumpkin harvest! This is about 3/4 of my crop, which started when I saved seeds from my grandchildren’s jack-o’-lanterns a few years back. I don’t even know how to grow pumpkins, it just sort of happened. I think they like the soil?! I hope your autumn is bountiful. 🎃🎃🎃
