Rare Find Alert: Old Stock Bamboo Mountain Turquoise! 🏔️💎

Take a look at these incredible Hubei cabochons! Both of these beauties come from the legendary Bamboo Mountain mine (formerly known as the Zhuxi mine). Because the mine closed its doors back in 1995, finding authentic material like this is getting harder every day.

• The Big Blue: A massive 27.05-carat oval (31mm L) featuring that iconic tight matrix and deep blue-green hue. 🌌

• The Lime Square: A 11.2-carat pop of electric color (14.7mm L) with a striking dark vein cutting right through that vibrant lime green. 🍋‍🟩

Fresh from the world-famous Tucson Gem Show! ✨

These incredible Hubei turquoise cabochons were hand-sourced and expertly shaped by an amazing Colorado-based stone cutter.

I’m already dreaming up new designs for these beauties, but if one speaks to you, let’s make it yours! Slide into my DMs for a private commission and let’s create something unique. 💎

✍️📒✏️ One more design complete. I saw the stone and couldn’t resist picking it up and adding to the collection. Attached is a little BTS sneak peak of my process. Getting the image from my head to paper is the hardest part for me. But I put in some effort.

💻 Next, I upload the sketch to a jewelry CAD program to help refine my art. CAD he able to get my hand sketch into the general vicinity of how I want the piece to look, but then I go in, adjust numbers and measurements, fine tune the details that CAD wasn’t able to replicate because it drew a blank on what I was going for, etc . . . I’m even able to upload an image of the actual stone to CAD and CAD will place it directly into the piece of jewelry being designed.

From this point on, the mold and casting of the metal is ready to take place.
