I read an article recently on dark showering and as someone who has been getting daily stress headaches recently, decided to try it out to see if it might help.

It was very relaxing and I did get a better nights sleep.

But it’s not just about sleeping better. Dark showering may provide mental health benefits, too.

Studies have shown that it’s a good way to relax and de-stress before bed, moving our nervous system into the parasympathetic state, which is responsible for relaxation and sleepiness.

This has the added benefit of reducing circulating cortisol levels, which are normally very stimulating and wake-promoting.

The better quality of sleep you get, coupled with the stress reduction, helps to improve your mental health.

It had me at “reducing cortisol levels” and if nothing else, really did put me in an instant state of relaxation. My headache did go away as well, though I’m not sure if Dark Showering had anything to do with it, it certainly didn’t hurt.

I added some spa music and used battery operated candles for safety. If you end up trying this trend, enjoy!

In early 2025, about a year ago, I made the largest batch of clearing sprays I’d ever made. I had an upcoming event and they’ve always been my best seller.

In the interest of saving time, instead of making each one individually like I usually do, I mixed everything together and poured that one large mixture into each bottle.

NEVER cut corners on your craft.

I wasn’t happy with the results. I’ll never get in my own head again about having enough, or rush to get them done for something. Small batches are best and most powerful, and if I don’t have enough…..then I don’t have enough.

Thankfully all was not lost and I added more to what I felt wasn’t up to my standards.

These are in the shop again. Not made with eclipse energy because that’s too chaotic!

Guided to make a video for the first time in years! Reiki is my favorite and absolutely changed my life. January sessions were amazing and I have some openings for February and March. I took a year long hiatus for school and deep inner work that started in 2024, and the energy brought to these sessions now is just….incredibly beautiful. It’s very exciting, and I’m so happy to be back at it. ✨❤️🥰
