It is in the studio that I am fully in flow - for me making jewelry is meditation, my zen time. I am also passionate about the earth and work to preserve places that inspire and nurture us. Opulent Ore celebrates beautiful metals and their lovely patinas, such as oxidized iron or copper verdigris, and often pairs metal with unique and rare stones. Much of my work features ammonites that have been
fossilized with pyrite - because in my mind these ammonites perfectly combine the beautiful and durable sheen of metal with delicate and stunning ocean life. And many of my designs are also inspired by my travels. I search out agates that look like Japanese paintings. After traveling to India I was inspired to add brass to the 'ores' I work with. In my shop you will find natures scenes captured. It is my hope that in treating yourself, or a loved one, to a unique item from Opulent Ore, that you will find yourself inspired and nurtured as well as adorned!
