That’s part of the fun.
With raw stones the wire has to do all the work.
The goal is simple:
build tension in the frame so the stone stays secure without glue.
Once the frame locks in, everything else is just refining the lines.
This one is a raw amethyst cluster wrapped in copper.

I’m still learning weaving patterns, still figuring out how copper likes to bend, where tension holds, and where it fights back. Rings are small, but they’re honest. You can’t hide sloppy wraps in a circle.

Well… we did it.

The Wire Abides shop is officially live with:

• 7 handcrafted copper wire pendants (more to come soon!)
• 4 stainless steel chain styles
• Mix-and-match freedom

Each stone was wrapped by hand. No mass production. No restocks of the same piece. When it’s gone, it’s gone.

Hope everyone’s staying warm through this winter mess.

I’ve been in photo mode lately, getting pendants shot for the sales side of the new Wire Abides site. I’m aiming for “sales-ready” when it drops, which means the unglamorous grind: photo after photo, listings getting built out, and the slightly awkward part, setting prices on handmade jewelry.

I’m building out a spin-off site so the wire-wrapped work has its own home. Not a grand launch—more like the lights coming on and the shelves getting set.

Back at the bench today. No grand reveal—just a work-in-progress and copper doing copper things.
I’m still in the shaping-and-anchoring stage: setting the first wraps, tightening the frame, letting the lines find their place.
That smoky-gray stone with that “weather moving in” kind of glow. so I’m keeping the wirework clean and steady.
More coming soon if you’re into the calm stuff.
