Just finished this 1864 silver Seated Liberty Half Dollar coin ring. A 162-year-old Civil War–era coin sent in by a customer for a size 13. Coins this old are always a gamble to work with b/c they can have hidden flaws from age and use. This one had a flaw and started to crack during the process, but I caught it in time and was able to save it.

This coin likely passed through thousands of hands - saloons, farms, railroad towns… maybe even a Civil War soldier’s pay. Now it gets a second life as a ring.

Finished up two rings this evening.
- The first was crafted from a U.S. Mint Presidential $1 coin, part of the series introduced in 2007 to honor former U.S. presidents. This one features Ronald Reagan, with his name and presidential term preserved in the band.
- The second ring was made from an Israeli 1/2 New Shekel, a circulated coin featuring Hebrew lettering and the harp, an ancient symbol tied to the story of David and Israel’s cultural heritage.

Well, I thought I was done with Christmas orders! I had already told a customer in Michigan their ring wouldn’t arrive because the 2017 special-order coin was lost in the mail and had fallen off the radar for days. Then, like a Christmas miracle, it showed up in our mailbox this afternoon. The ring was meant to be a Christmas gift, and 2017 was their wedding year.

I finished the ring and dropped it at the post office (2-Day Express) about five minutes before they closed. It should arrive on time!

This ring was made from a 2017 Kennedy half dollar, a special U.S. Mint silver issue struck for collectors in honor of President John F. Kennedy (the only silver coin I could find with the needed 2017 date). It turned out great.

Finished a few last-minute Christmas orders. The 1971 silver Eisenhower dollar ring turned out bold with good detail. I also made a ring from a German silver 5 Deutsche Mark, it turned out awesome, love the German Eagle. The 1881 Morgan ring is a size 12-1/8 (the guy knows his size!)

The bronze ring was made from a U.S. Mint Presidential $1 coin—Theodore Roosevelt on the inside, with United States of America cleanly across the top.

Just finished this beautiful 1941 Liberty silver half-dollar ring for a customer. The coin was near-mint and full of detail. Liberty halves are tougher to work with than Morgans—they’re thinner and have far more detail to preserve.
They make the perfect size ring.

This 1882 Morgan was struck in New Orleans, carried the “O” mint mark for 142 years, and today it rides again as a size 15 ring.

Just finished up this size 9 Morgan coin ring for a customer. The coin started its life 141 years ago at the historic New Orleans Mint. Since then it’s likely traveled dusty trails, sat on bar tops, and passed through more hands than we’ll ever know — now reborn as a size 9 ring headed to Oklahoma
